On behalf of the Lansing Capitals AAA Midget Major and Midget Minor program, I would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual golf outing. An additional Thank You to all who sponsored our event and to all of our volunteers! We need and appreciate your support. I hope you have time, to come watch the players this season. I believe you will enjoy seeing them in their true environment, not like the golf course!

Lastly, a big THANK YOU to NANCY HARRIS, KAREN LORIDON and RAJ WIENER! No matter what the task, we have great people that step up and make it happen! Thanks again.

Congratulations to one of our veterans, Bobby Chapman and one newcomer Daniel Swink, in May they attended the 91/92 Michigan Select Camp in Taylor. These players are selected by MAHA in each district of Michigan to compete for the USA Hockey 16/17 Development Camp.

Four of our 93 birth years, Reid Boucher, Davis Dekorte, Zach Dorer, and CJ Rueschlin earned their way to the 93/94 Michigan Select Camp held in Sault Ste Marie in June. I was fortunate enough to be an evaluator and Coach at the camp and all of our players represented themselves and the Lansing Capitals very well. The other evaluators were made up of 3 Division 1 College Coaches, 1 Coach from the USHL, 2 Coaches from the NAHL, and 1 Midget Major Coach from the MWEHL. They all were impressed by our players! Congratulations to all four players and an additional Congratulations to  Reid Boucher. Reid has advanced to the USA Hockey 15 Development Camp in St. Cloud, MN.

Lansing AAA hockey alumni news.

Ricky Brown, Sean Duddy, Curtis Heinz, Sean McKenzie, Jeff McNeil, and Nick Shkreli all played for the Wichita Falls Wildcats last season, in the NAHL. They play for John Bowkus, who started our program 6 seasons ago and without Coach Bowkus there wouldn't be AAA hockey in Lansing. All had a great first season in Junior hockey. Sean Duddy has had offers, to play Division 1 College hockey, from Lake Superior State University and Air Force Academy. Great job Sean! Good Luck to all next season.
